Kevin Holland, known for his charismatic persona, has given a classic “Trailblazer” response to the announcement of Michael ‘Venom’ Page versus Ian Garry. UFC President Dana White recently revealed that the two top-ranked welterweights will square off at UFC 303 on June 29, during the highly anticipated International Fight Week.
Page, who made an impressive debut in the UFC with a striking masterclass against Holland at UFC 299. He secured a unanimous decision victory. Following the announcement of Page’s upcoming bout with Garry, Holland took to social media, humorously expressing his hope that Page defeats Garry even more decisively than he did him.

Islam Makhachev has dismissed claims that he is underestimating Dustin Poirier. Ahead of their highly anticipated lightweight title fight at UFC 302 next weekend. In a recent appearance on the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen. Makhachev expressed confidence that Poirier wouldn’t be able to choke him out with a guillotine. Many fans interpreted his remarks as downplaying Poirier’s abilities.
However, Makhachev addressed these interpretations in an interview with Sport24 (via Championship Rounds), clarifying that he is taking the fight very seriously. The lightweight champion emphasized that he has been diligently working on his guillotine defense. Ensuring he is fully prepared for any challenge Poirier might bring. He Said:
“The media made a big joke out of this that I was joking about his guillotines. No, I’m telling the truth that I think he has a pretty good guillotine… This is a big mistake… Underestimating Dustin is stupid in general. We have seen his last fight. It was the same thing. Everyone didn’t give Dustin any chance… So, it’s a big mistake to underestimate Dustin.”
