Dominick Reyes got a much needed win after he knocked out Dustin Jacoby in the UFC Louisville main event and he also went home with the biggest payday for anybody on the card.
On Thursday, the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission provided a list of disclosed salaries from the UFC event in Louisville on June 8 with Reyes and main event fighter Jared Cannonier taking home the highest payouts for the show.
Reyes took home $250,000 for his stunning knockout over Jacoby, which was actually his first win in five years. Since beating Chris Weidman back in 2019, Reyes suffered through a razor-close decision loss to Jon Jones and then fell in three consecutive knockouts to Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochazka and Ryan Spann.
His knockout win over Jacoby puts Reyes back on track and he was rewarded with the largest payday on the UFC Louisville card.
In the main event, Nassourdine Imavov picked up the biggest win of his career with a fourth-round finish over Jared Cannonier. Of course, the end of the fight was controversial after Imavov rocked Cannonier with several strikes but the one-time UFC title challenger refused to go down and he continued swinging wild punches as he attempted to recover.
That’s when referee Jason Herzog stepped in between the fights and waved off the action with Imavov scoring the TKO victory as a result.
For his work that night, Imavov took home $126,000, which included a $63,000 win bonus. As for Cannonier, he earned $165,000 to show but missed out on his win bonus after suffering his first loss by knockout since moving to the middleweight division.
